We have a new video today featuring Roderick Long discussing constitutional design.

Speaking at the International Society for Individual Liberty’s World Conference on August 26, 1997, Long, a professor of philosophy at Auburn University, considers what it would take to design a free nation that appeals to both minarchists and anarchists. What would the constitution of such a nation look like? Would it even have a written constitution? Long also explains his theory of “virtual cantons”- a system of representation and legal order disconnected from citizens’ places of physical residence.
