Browne first gained a wide audience as a newspaper columnist, but his breakout in the libertarian movement came with the 1970 publication of his bestselling book, \*How You Can Profit From The Coming Devaluation\*, which not only predicted the inflation of the 70s but also introduced many readers to Austrian economics. In 1973 he published \*How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World\*, a combination of libertarian manifesto and practical advice about how to find more freedom in one’s own life.
