# Scott Drenkard **URL:** --- Scott Drenkard is an economist and manager of state projects for the Tax Foundation's Center for State Tax Policy. He is an author of the annual [_State Business Tax Climate Index_](http://taxfoundation.org/article/2013-state-business-tax-climate-index) and editor of the 2012 and 2013 editions of the popular handbook, [_Facts & Figures: How Does Your State Compare?_](http://taxfoundation.org/article/facts-figures-2014-how-does-your-state-compare) In 2013, he co-authored books on [North Carolina tax policy](http://taxfoundation.org/article/north-carolina-tax-reform-options-guide-fair-simple-pro-growth-reform) and [Nebraska tax policy](http://taxfoundation.org/article/building-success-guide-fair-simple-pro-growth-tax-reform-nebraska) which laid the groundwork for fundamental tax reforms in each state. Scott and the Center for State Tax Policy were highlighted in _State Tax Notes_' "most influential in state tax policy" feature in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
