U.S. Congressman Justin Amash joins the show today to discuss the failures of Congress.

Justin Amash has been in Congress since 2011 and in that time period he has seen many of his colleagues pick party over principles. In 2019, he announced that he was leaving the Republican Party. He views the two-party system as an existential threat to American politics and institutions.

Do Congressmen have principles? Did Trump corrode the Republican Party? Are Congressmen friends with each other even if they are on opposite sides of the aisle? Are there incremental ways we can make Congress accountable again?
