Charles Baird

Charles Baird is a professor of economics emeritus at California State University at East Bay, where he was the founding Director of the Smith Center for Private Enterprise Studies. Baird has been a visiting professor at Stanford University, the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and the Universidad Francisco Marroquin, Guatemala. He specializes in the law and economics of labor relations. Baird received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member, and formerly Vice President and member of the Board of Directors, of the Mount Pelerin Society.
