Colin Bird

Colin Bird is Associate Professor of Politics and Director of the Program in Political Philosophy, Policy and Law at the University of Virginia. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University, New York. Bird’s research examines liberal political thought, individualism, and democratic theory, among other topics. He is the author of numerous scholarly papers and three books, The Myth of Liberal Individualism, An Introduction to Political Philosophy, and Human Dignity and Political Criticism.
