Biography

Constanza Mazzina holds a PhD in political science and completed her postdoctoral research in Latin American politics at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) in Spain. She also holds a master’s degree in economics and political science from ESEADE. Currently, she serves as the director of the undergraduate program in political science and the postgraduate program in institutional economics and political science at the Universidad del Cema in Buenos Aires. She was previously a fellow of the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) and awarded second place in the Mont Pelerin Society’s Hayek Essay Contest (2006). She is currently a fellow of the Friedman Hayek Center and a member of the Academic Council of Libertad y Progreso. As a prolific author and editor of academic and outreach publications, her research focuses on the rise of autocracies, Chinese influence in Argentina, and the state of Latin American democracies.
