Dwight R. Lee

Dwight R. Lee got his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego. He was formerly William J. O’Neil Professor of Global Markets and Freedom at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business, and has held had full-​time tenured faculty appointments at the University of Colorado, Virginia Tech University, George Mason University, the University of Georgia.

Lee specializes in the economics of the environment and natural resources, the economics of public choice, public finance, and labor economics. He is the author of many scholarly books and articles, and former president of the Southern Economic Association.
