Harry Browne was a noted American libertarian and two-time Libertarian Party presidential candidate, nominated in 1996 and 2000. Browne first gained a wide audience as a newspaper columnist, but his breakout in the libertarian movement came with the 1970 publication of his bestselling book, *How You Can Profit From The Coming Devaluation*, which not only predicted the inflation of the 70s but also introduced many readers to Austrian economics. In 1973 he published *How I Found Freedom In An Unfree World*, a combination of libertarian manifesto and practical advice about how to find more freedom in one’s own life.
