John Tooby

John Tooby was distinguished professor of anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Professor Tooby was widely known and esteemed for pioneering the field of evolutionary psychology. He and Professor Leda Cosmides together founded and codirected the Center for Evolutionary Psychology, which was featured by Esquire magazine in 1999 as a “Red Hot Center of Genius.” He passed away in 2023.
